Kerekes Residential

The contour of the existing side is an irregular shape, while the Client wants only rooms where all walls are perpendicular. This way the volume has a zigzag floor plan. In the meanwhile, all the balconies are indicating the traditional street lines. The ground floor is different from the ones above, so it looks like a high plinth, and also shows honestly that hides a different function (ground floor parking). Visuals by LAB5.

Vision Towers Office Interior

Vision Towers is an office building located on the popular “office corridor” of Budapest. The office with the interior of LAB5 architects occupies the highest two floors of the South wing. However the Client had a strict design guide book, we could install some unique solutions together. The two floor is linked via a new staircase, that looks like a folding structure or origami of the white interior. The “dark” functions are put into the core of the wing, and finished with wooden surface. THe feature wall of the reception space looks like a system of drawers of a pharmacy – it is inspired by Client’s brand. The demand was a mostly open space office interior, it became separated by glass division walls and greenery. Photos by Tamás Bujnovszky.

Tamp & Pull

Budapest is undergoing a certain big bang of new wave cafeteries, and Tamp&Pull is serving the best caffee already for the second year. The company decided to open its new coffee shop in the city centre, at Arany János street “Bank Center” Office Building. LAB5 architects were impressed by the old caffee maker to be put in the middle of the space, so the decoration got a similar look. Lights are hanging on cable loops, walls are ribboned around by copper tubes.

EMKE offices

The refurbishment of Emke Office Building run between 2012 and 2014. In addition to the interior renovation, the MEP system was fully replaced by a new, energy efficient one. All design steps were undertaken to the visual frames of the existing building, and the aim was to provide a green island atmosphere at the public zones.

MediCover AlkotásPoint

We were involved in the process of building an exclusive modern private clinic at the Alkotás Point Office Building. We created the interior design concept and space plan, and helped the realisation of the interiors during the limited time of construction. The Client preferred the tight black-white-grey concept with rounded corners. It was important to us to smuggle back some green into the interiors, therefore designed vertical and horizontal green areas in the space. At the lobby in front of the window, on the corridors and in the lobby recessed into the floor green areas are making the space more comfortable.

ModularHaus Szeged

It is another house for the company Modular, which builds modular mobile houses. The 40 sqm house was assembled from 1 modules, and placed near Szeged. The cladding is from larch wooden siding, which is extreme  durable, the terrace flooring is made of wooden-plastic compostite. The modules can be placed anywhere with a trailer and an auto crane, the also they are independent from each other, so transforming the building (extending or removing modules) is a matter of hours.
