LAB5 X Award – Scholarships for Travelling Students 2025 | Invitation for Competition
The X Award has been founded by LAB5 architects on its tenth anniversary. It’s a scholarship for full-time students of architecture, product and interior design, studying and living in Hungary. We support their travel for learning about art, culture, mainly focusing on design.

The 2025 scholarship winner
The recipient of the 2025 Travel Grant, under the motto "Visiting the Portuguese Masters," was Tas Szabó, who travelled across Portugal from south to north.
As part of his application, Tas presented the design of a unique building—one that was inspired not only by his own architectural ideas but also served as a way of preparing for the journey itself. He documented the experiences and lessons of the trip not only through traditional analogue photography but also in the form of travel sketches.
