LAB5 X Award – Scholarships for Travelling Students 2019-2020 | Invitation for Competition
The X Award has been founded by LAB5 architects on its tenth anniversary. It’s a scholarship for full-time students of architecture, product and interior design, studying and living in Hungary, supporting their travels for learning about art, culture, mainly focusing on design.
Deadline: PROLONGATED 17th February 2020.

The 2019/20 scholarship winner
The LAB5 x 2020 Travel Grant was awarded to Judit Bielik, a graduating architecture student at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Due to the pandemic, however, the trip could only take place in 2022. Judit further developed the topic of her previous TDK research, investigating the Israeli chapter of the adventurous life of architect Zsigmond Kerekes. She visited his works in Israel, which are mainly heritage buildings and have so far received relatively little publication.
