The Lenfonógyár (Textile Factory) of Budakalász gave us the legendary „Trapper” jeans in the soviet times. Now it is more like an empty brown industrial area, storages and little workshops scattered around. Prolan moved its HQ and research-development offices to the site, thanks to the proximity of the capital, and the flexible areas that provide surface for the never-ending demand for expansion.
Our office won the invited competition that included both the future plan of the entire plot, and the detailed plans for the first new building. We worked out in details the plan of this new building, with a style that fits the old industrial environment, matches the atmosphere of the town, and also can be seen as the face of the innovative company. The volume is clean-cut, worked out with minimalist detail solutions. The MEP system is highly environmental-friendly, soil-pump works together with the ceiling mounted heating-cooling system. Due to the functional need, the large ground floor is followed with narrow upper floors, so the first floor has a green terrace fading into the green in the shape of a slope of a hill.
